
During these times, I think it is safe to say we are adapting to what is available at our local supermarkets. With the limits on certain food items, this is the perfect time to get creative with utilising what we have at home to create some awesome meals!

Below is an example of how our Dietitian Issy made use of her ingredients. She made two different meals using the following core ingredients:
- lean meat
- carrot
- zucchini
- capsicum
- celery
With some tinned corn that she found in the cupboard, along with rice (which is viewed as gold at the moment) and puff pastry in the freezer, she made samosas and rissoles.
Although these meals have the same core ingredients, they tasted very different due to the variety of herbs added. This keeps our tastebuds happy!
Herbs used in samosas:
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Chilli
- Cumin
- Garam Masala
- Corriander
Herbs used in rissoles:
(Went for an Italian styled rissole)
- Basil
- Oregano
- Thyme
- Pepper
